Living in Italy, I can tell you that the average Italian-on-the-street is extremely upset with the immigrant situation. Every day more boat loads come into Lampedusa, Ragusa, Catania, Reggio Calabria etc. The government houses them, provides them food, clothing, cell phones, basically all the modern necessities and the not-so-necessities. The average working Italian doesn't get a damn thing from the government although he pays 70 - 80 % in taxes. Government takes almost all. This country has less than one third the population of the US, but has over four hundred senators. Government has metastasized into an all-consuming colossus.

So, if the Mafia and the N'Dragheta and the Comorra are taking it upon themselves to deal with the immigrant problem, most Italian citizens will cheer.

Too bad the mafia isn’t as active here anymore, perhaps they could help rid ourselves of odumbo and the muzzies since they are pretty much one and the same.
