Progressivism and this “right side of history” rhetoric derive from Karl Marx’s construct of history that progresses through pre-determined stages by inexorable logic. They believe there will be One World Government. Who better to rule it all that The One? Just ask Oprah. Islam is just an atavistic throwback, and their means to the end of destroying capitalism.

I’ve always wonder what is the relevance of this story? Reading it again I would say it is the following words: “so that we may make a name for ourselves”. Sounds exactly what today’s tyrants want to do, make a name for themselves, control, power, wealth... the beast...
