That's when I switched over to Kubuntu, but some of my friends really like Mint. I'm not one of the Linux power users that need Earth's smallest kernel, so whatever "bloat" *ubuntu adds has never really bothered me as most of what I need "just works".

Do you use a different Linux distro or did you just go OS X?

I do Mint. What bugs me about Unity is that it depends upon the GPU, which makes it not work well when remoted or when run in a virtual. And I’m always running in a virtual.
