It has long been my opinion that the Catholic Church is nothing but a criminal organization that gets tax free status.

And this article just proves it for you, doesn't it?

A ‘criminal organization’ founded by Christ then?

Oh, they kicked him out a long time ago, just like our public schools did.

Some Roman Catholic priests,as well as many Orthodox priests who pledge loyalty to the Pope, are married. The only solution to this is married priests.Of course that won't completely solve it but it will go a long way.It will very probably help the priest shortage as well.

And those of you who might shout "blasphemy"...save it,please. Those shouts will fall on deaf ears.

“But He is still a priest. And for that matter obliged to carry out a ministry.”

Once a priest, always a priest, yes, but he can only carry out ministry at the permission of a diocese. His obligations are in a sense meaningless if a diocese refuses him faculties because he’s demonstrated he’s a criminal.

I thought that a priest could be laicized.

No, getting layed is what got him into trouble in the first place.

Who EXACTLY is “they”? And how can the body kick out the Head (Christ)? When did that supposedly happen? Give me a date or event. Try.

Who EXACTLY is “they”?

"They" are the queer boy-raping "priests".

"They" are the baby-killing, faggot-loving "catholic" legislators.

"They" are the moslem-filth importing "Catholic Charities of Maine" etc etc etc

I could go on and on....and I might.

Are you suggesting that the church build prisons for wayward priests, and put them there? (The civil law would consider that kidnapping, a felony, BTW.)

Prison is the state's responsibility.

That having been said, priests who molest children should be forcibly reduced to the lay state, or barring that, should spend the rest of their life in some sort of monastery or other job where (a) they have no contact with children; and (b) aren't responsible for teaching anyone, even adults.

(That's, of course, *after* any relevant prison time, not instead of it.)

Sorry, you are so wrong. Ordinition is for life ... unless there are charges brought before a church court and a decision is made to “laicize’ the said preist.. aka, defrocking... that is permanent...

This article is a good example of why people hate ‘organized religion’and have little or no respect for the clergy in general. The ‘church’ as an institution is a greedy, corrupt, thing.. Many good people in it however.

We are discussing the church’s response, not the state’s. If you want prison go to Caesar.

A priest who prefers girls over little boys...now that’s an oddity.

Meanwhile, there is a priest in prison in New Hampshire, Fr. Gordon McRae, who has been in prison for 22 years for allegedly molesting a boy. If he admitted guilt, he would be on the fast track for release, but he will not admit to committing a crime he didn't commit. Unless he is pardoned, paroled (unlikely), or gets a new trial, he will die in prison.

His accuser was a known criminal who bragged about his perjury to others, and accused Fr. McRae long after the alleged abuse took place. No evidence, other than the accuser's word, was ever presented in court.

Justice is not always served in this life.

Read his blog for more information, and pray for him.

It is their nature, it can not be changed just like a wild predatory animal, who has preyed upon humans, can not be turned loose in a park full of people.

“It has long been my opinion that the Catholic Church is nothing but a criminal organization that gets tax free status.”

I share your idea, and furthermore it extends to a lot of so-called “mainstream religions!” Just the mere fact that they all work at cross purposes to this country’s immigration laws, clucking about how they are “above them” because they “are bound by a higher law,” is enogh to gag a maggot! Tax all of them, they are simply in “the god business,” trying to make their “customers” believe that they aren’t “good enough,” but with enough Sunday brainwashing together with paying them enough, they tell them they will become “good.”

The Catholics have reined it in.

They are the lowest on the list of pedophiles.

First come family members.

Then teachers and coaches.

The ministers from non-Catholic denominations.

And finally way down at the bottom with I believe, 2%, are priests.

Good catch. I don’t think I would rely on the Daily Beast to get the full facts on such a story. I notice there is no mention of just what his reassignment is.

I used to attend a small Lutheran Church down the street. The minister was a soft spoken man of Swedish descent. I really liked the small church atmosphere. But then a few members got rid of him and brought in a young female minister. Soon after, there was a rainbow flag by the door and some political signs in the yard supporting the gay marriage item on the ballot that fall. We never went back. Of course that didn’t stop them from endlessly asking us for more money.

It has long been my opinion that the Catholic Church is nothing but a criminal organization that gets tax free status.

Every religion is a criminal organization in the sense that they perpetuate lies for money and get to operate tax free. But, the organization that "grants" the tax break is itself an organization that perpetuates lies for money. The two are self re-inforcing and ultimately in the same business.

When did they successfully kick Christ out of the Church? Yeah, you could go on and on, but you apparently can’t seriously answer the questions that were asked.
