This makes sense, because the Cruz-GOPe campaign has done more
damage to themselves with that ill-advised gambit than if Trump had
dumped a billion dollars into that infernal SOP (
State
Of
Potheads):

It really doesn’t matter, because Trump will get to 1237 before the convention. If anything, the CO results hurt Cruz and his allies in the establishment more than anyone else. It pulled back the curtain on the whole delegate process, something most of us had never paid much attention to in the past.

Sounds like Trump is in good hands!

Trump never needed, or expected to receive, any delegates from CO-—or MT, NE, or UT for that matter.
Instead, Trump got a massive PR boost and made Ted look petty and corrupt.

Translation: they know they’re already cooked if they can’t win on the first ballot.
But they have at least decent hope of doing that.

Trump is a realist and Cruz is (supposedly) an idealist. We need a realist.
Plus, Trump's folks probably have noticed that after NY, support for Trump has increased and support for Cruz is flagging because he has alienated a lot of his supposed base. A ten point change in Trump's favor is indicative of how things are going and Cruz has hurt himself more than he has hurt Trump so far.
I asked Cruz's folks to stop calling me (never got a pleas from Trump after donating to him) because I have changed allegiances in favor of trying for the WH instead of aiding a vendetta . Yet, the calls have increased lately - 2-4 a day and some as late as 9 PM. I expect that a lot of grassroots folks have opted to stop sending Cruz money and it's likely that some of his other donors have slowed down the flow too.

Do you remember that story in the Bible where the traitor Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for a mere 30 pieces of silver ...and then wanted to give the silver coins back?
Yea, me too.

(Hey Ted, why are you taking one for the RNC/GOPe team, and not ours? Not that we don't know.)
