Cruz and his campaign attacking Trump on the trans issue.

But I have yet to hear Ted Cruz state his position on it...does he support laws against Trans using the bathroom of their choice?

It kinda reminds me of his position on illegals...would he deport them, or not?

Cruz’s attack on Trump is dumb. What about little girls in the bathroom with a butch lez??

If a transgender man dressed as a woman used a woman’s bathroom who would know? He have to pee in the sink!

If a transgender woman dressed as a man used a men’s bathroom who would know? They couldn’t use the urinal.

So how would they be identified?

This won’t last long.

The facts of this matter are on court records already.

TRUMP and American voters know that already.

Cruz is grasping.

Grasping looks bad.

A sign of “the end”, but with sound effects. HA!

Lil Teddy is grasping at straws now. He should save the anguish and drop out now. Stick a fork in him.

Yes he would deport. And in fact he will not let them right back in. What’s the point in deporting if you are just going to let them back in?

Think of the amusement park where they have a rule for cutting in line. Typically it’s—you cut in line you get kicked out of the park (no refunds, you lose your season pass).

Now if the punishment was if you get caught cutting in line you go to the end of the line. Would that stop anyone from cutting in line? No in fact it would encourage more cutting because the only consequence is you go to the end (where you would be anyway). To make people self deport you need a real punishment—like no re-entry EVER! Then you’ll see people leaving.

Having said that. I do like Trump’s plan to take the money the illegals send back to Mexico. That is a great idea and that too would stop a lot of illegals coming here.

If he were not a lawyery weasel he would attack political correctness directly everyday in a consistent fashion, then he would have been the front runner.

Cruz walked into the left’s latest divide and conquer social issue. Does the left want to talk about Muslim terrorism, their invasion of Europe, the invasion of cheap labor into the U.S., the export of manufacturing...and service sector industries? No, of course they don’t...they want to talk about perceived bias in the culture they own. They know no one will go with cultural conservatives because a huge majority of Americans hate cultural conservatives. Ted, of course, falls for it because he is hopelessly desperate...for anything.

“Should a grown man pretending to be a woman be allowed to use the women’s restroom?” asks the Cruz

Lyin’ Ted must have just put the Bible down when he said that. Trump specified transgenders, not men pretending to be women. Transgenders are of both sexes.

I look at it like this.

If trump wants to let Bruce Gender use whichever bathroom he prefers in Trump Towers, fine. But in truth it’s the women in that bathroom that will have the final say on it. They will either let him in or run him out.

If North Carolina wants to pass a law restricting their bathrooms to born gender, fine, it is their state, their law makers are elected, they can run things how they see fit.

If another state wants to open up bathrooms to identified gender, fine, same deal, elected law makers can run things how they see fit.

But again, it’s the people in the bathrooms that are going to have the final say.

If someone walks in and starts creeping people out, then they are going to have to deal with that response right then.

Laws aren’t going to change the way people behave naturally one way or the other.

Some people in one restroom might be fine with person A coming in, some people in another restroom may well object to person B coming in.

And I don’t see that changing.

Good grief.

2 years ago, anyone who would dare to suggest on FR that cross-dressers should have access to the “public bathroom of their choice” would have been run off the site on a rail (probably after a hefty dose of tar and feathers).

Now that Trump has come out in support of it? People are pooh-pooh-ing it, minimizing it, excusing it, pointing to everyone else in a frenzy of “tu quoque” distractions, and basically everything EXCEPT a conservative, honest response. What’s so wrong with saying “I support Trump, but this is just bad”?

Let’s be honest, here: this position (as with the “abortion exception allowances”) is a bad one (i.e. morally wrong) for Trump. Circling the wagons around your favorite candidate can become dishonest, after a certain point... and I think we’ve reached that point, and then some.

(And please... don’t waste my time with the liberal line of “who are you to judge morality of someone else?” If you’d like to spout that amoral, relativistic nonsense, go try it on DU.)

“But I have yet to hear Ted Cruz state his position on it...does he support laws against Trans using the bathroom of their choice?”

It would be nice if someone would commit an act of journalism and ask the obvious question, but I’m not holding my breath.

What we do know is that Cruz has stated his support of states’ rights many times, including regarding gay marriage. Nineteen states have laws allowing transgendered people to choose their bathroom. Does Cruz support those states’ rights or is his support of states’ rights selective?

If he doesn’t support states’ rights on this issue, what are his criteria for deciding which states’ rights he supports and which he doesn’t?

Only because you dont want to see it. He has been very clear.

But hey, anything to criticize right. The reality doesnt matter when there are talking points to push.

The polity of potty. There’s no law that will prevent bad actors from assaulting little girls or little boys in either the men or women’s public restrooms.

There is no such thing as a "Transgender Man". If you were born a man, then you are a man. Period. No amount of genital mutilation is going to change that.

Further the whole issue is not about cross dressing freaks, but the Law in Charlotte that caused this firestorm was a law which required businesses to allow anyone in any restroom depending on their feelings and not the way they are dressed. In other words any man claiming to be "gender neutral" or feminine or a lesbian trapped in a man's body would be free to walk into a women's restroom, pull out his schlong and do his business right in front of women and little girls.

North Carolina stood up to the LGBT lobby and said that the only bathroom you can use must conform to the gender on your birth certificate (which was the law that was already in place in North Carolina) and passed a law prohibiting cities and counties (which are the creation of the state) from passing laws and ordinances which were in contradiction to the bathroom laws that had been on the books for decades.

LGBTrump tries to claim that this is a States Rights issue after saying he is perfectly fine with men using women's facilities and then at the same time he ridiculed North Carolina for passing a much needed law to protect women and children from sexual perverts.

If LGBTrump thought that this was an issue for the states, then he should have stood up for North Carolina rather than throwing them under the LGBT bandwagon.

I think Trump was not informed about why the North Carolina legislature made the law in the first place. North Carolina has state law that forbids men from declaring they are transgendered and entering women’s restrooms, dressing rooms and showers. The city of Charlotte passed an ordinance that allowed transgendered men to do so, violating state law. What the legislature did was forbid their cities from passing laws that violate established state law. I think Trump did not know this detail.

Trump was half right when he declared that North Carolina should “Leave it the way it is.” Exactly. They were leaving it the way it was in state law and not letting cities like Charlotte change it.

I will let the Trump nit pickers dig up the North Carolina state law on the subject and print it out here on the forum. Then tell me why Trump was wrong to say, “Leave it the way it is.”

Finally, I will continue to debate the Trump nit pickers on this subject until they stop their foolishness. These transgender people are human beings in need of psychological counseling. Natural law has deemed them male and, due to their illness, they are pursuing a destructive lifestyle that will cause endless heartache, costly and painful physical modifications and social accommodations that will be endless and costly. It is the same mental illness that causes drug addiction; the same sickness (IMHO) that just killed Prince Rogers Nelson.

In the meantime, we do have laws on the books for voyeurism, pedophilia and exhibitionism. Those who violate such laws, whether in bathrooms, showers, dressing room, or wherever, get categorized as sexual offenders. With that on their record, their future life is not favorable. It is important that they get help before they get in trouble with the law. It is important they get help before they suffer medical complications if they resort to surgical modifications that will never accommodate the illness that causes their misery.
