Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton will win the general election this fall and will "crush" Donald Trump, says CNN political correspondent Bob Beckel, even if she has to do it from jail.
"Remind me I said this, she will crush him," Beckel told CNN's Don Lemon on the "CNN Tonight" show Wednesday.
Beckel added, "I mean, she can crush him from jail."
And as for GOP front-runner Donald Trump, should he secure the nomination in Cleveland this summer?
"In the end, the best-selling Halloween mask this October will be Donald Trump's face," Beckel said. "You go on to a college campus and mention Donald Trump, and people flee to the woodwork."
His comments came while he, Lemon, Bernie Sanders supporter Nomiki Konst and CNN political contributor Hilary Rosen were discussing the results of Tuesday's New York primary, and whether Sanders can still gather the delegates he needs for the nomination.

Both Hillary and Bernie got way more votes than Trump in New York. Combine that Hillary/Bernie vote and you see how foolish Trump is to claim he will carry New York in the general.

I think Hillary is an awful candidate who turns people off en maze with her incompetence , incessant lies, pandering, and gross corruption. She will drag the D party down all across America. But if she were to win somehow it would almost be worth it — if she were in jail.

Hillary could cut the head off of Pope Francis on public TV and would still win the election. Indeed she would garner 52% of the Catholic vote not withstanding the Pontiff’s agonizing death. The American voter is sick, once again look what was elected President TWICE!

A good portion of my neighbors like Trump. My legal Mexican landscaper likes Trump. My mailman likes Trump. My furnace guy likes Trump. The UPS guy likes Trump, haven’t asked the Fedex guy yet. Beckel is a crazy drunk but he may not be that far off here.
This is an extraordinarily craven nation, we may not have seen the likes of it since late Rome.
That said, she’d beat the living crap out of Cruz from solitary confinement on death row...at least Trump stands a whisker of a chance.
I consider that a relevant prediction, and I’d love to see Hillary try to prove it.

Most New Yorkers are registered Democrats, because that’s what they need to vote for local officials, folks who run the garbage collection, plow the roads, clean the sidewalks, and the like. But when they vote statewide, they often vote Republican if that seems like the better candidate. It’s just that it’s important to be able to vote in the Democrat primaries.
