Most boys who were "geeks", "loners" etc grow up to be normal men, not mass murderers. Most childhood rape victims, however scarred they are, do not go on to become rapists themselves.
The rapists and the mass murderers DO NOT get a free pass for their crimes; they ARE responsible for what they choose to do.
