If you do not want to be associated with a part, fine that is your choice. But you should not be able to help choose a party nominee if you are not part of the part.

You've got a legitimate point, so I won't debate that.

My point was that for inexperienced New York voters, I can easily see how they thought they'd be able to register at the poll, since so many other states allow that and it has been in the news so much.

This man got it wrong, but I'm not a fan of calling a man a fool because he wants to cast a ballot.

It does, I agree, emphasize the need to understand the voter registration rules in your state. My own son missed the registration deadline to vote in Tennessee, so he missed the primary. He'll vote for the first time in November.
