Rich States, Poor States: 9th Edition
The American Legislative Exchange Council ^ | April 14, 2016 | Joe Horvath

Posted on 04/19/2016 6:43:38 AM PDT by daniel1212

On Tuesday, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) Center for State Fiscal Reform released the ninth edition of the Rich States, Poor States ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index rankings. The study ranks all 50 states based on their economic outlook, calculated by weighing 15 variables in critical economic policy areas. Therefore, it is no surprise that of the states in the top 10 for economic outlook, six (Wisconsin, Florida, Indiana, Arizona, North Dakota and North Carolina) also qualified for the most recent State Tax Cut Roundup as states that substantially reduced taxes...

Wisconsin earned an all-time best ranking of nine, its first time in the top 10. The law’s life expectancy is now in doubt, though, following a recent court ruling against it. ..

Florida is among the biggest winners in Rich States, Poor States, not only because of its top 10 ranking, but also because, after Texas, no state has seen more Americans move in from other states in the past decade...

North Carolina passed over North Dakota to claim the number two outlook ranking by recently passing some of the most significant tax reform of any state in decades. The reforms included implementing a flat rate to the personal income tax, lowering the rates overall and repealing its death tax.

Minnesota. Right beside California in the bottom of the barrel. The loons must be so proud ...

The sad thing about Minnesota is that so much of it is rural and shares traditional American values, even as little as 50 miles away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul city limits where the moonbats hold sway.

They have imported so many Somalis which hold down the economy living on government services and/or being totally slackard workers with lots of prayer breaks.

Minneapolis, like Seattle, can conjure up any election figures they want....most elections in Washington State go pub until Seattle chimes in...always the last one to do so...and shazaam.....election figures get turned around....

I swear they wait til everybody else reports and then conjure up just enough votes to win....

this is why I don't send my ballot in til the last day....I don't want the crooks to know what my vote is until after their "official" count is in...

I will do that, too.

There is a significant Liberian enclave there, too.

Many of the church-sounding outfits like Lutheran Social Services get government funding to import people from elsewhere.
