The facts simply do not support the charges leveled against Colorado. I say again:

The Wyoming Republican Party website explains the process clearly: “Delegates to the state convention are elected by the county conventions. Delegates to the county convention are elected by precinct caucuses in their respective counties. Any person registered to vote Republican as of the call for precinct caucuses in a given precinct may vote in that precinct’s caucus”

You evaded the questions. See the question marks?

One more time.

Are you suggesting what occurred in Colorado was not tailor made for those motivated to manipulate elections?

Are you suggesting what occurred in Colorado’s caucus/delegate system a few days ago was principled, above board, legitimate and honorable?

unless it is a democrat victory in the general

*****************************

That would be acceptable, as would an amnesty supporting GOP candidate winning.

What is completely unacceptable to them is the citizens electing a President who would enforce the borders and laws and stop The Cheap Labor Express.

Excellent!

This is what Scott Adams described as “ritualistic placebo voting.” Its function is to fool caucus attendees into believing that they’re actually deciding something.

See that didn't hurt nate. Let me memorialize this for posterity.

Are you suggesting what occurred in Colorado was not tailor made for those motivated to manipulate elections?

Yes

Are you suggesting what occurred in Colorado’s caucus/delegate system a few days ago was principled, above board, legitimate and honorable?

Yes

Answered like a true Cruz supporter.

Thanks nate!

Of all Freepers, I never thought I’d see *you* stoop to meaningless photo gags instead of thoughtful debate.

To the contrary, as I stated above, his post was the most eloquent response yet - short, succinct concise and to the point. Those who want to debate or think there is something to debate fool themselves. You can have your banana republic. The citizens are burning it down and moving on. It's like having an argument about the constitution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It's dead, Jim.

This is dead wrong. In both Colorado and Wyoming, all registered Republican voters in the state had the chance to vote and participate in the delegate selection process.

Well, give us the vote totals received by each candidate in those states.

Oh, but in this three step process, no voter in those states had an opportunity to vote for an actual candidate in the Republican presidential contests. Voting for delegates who vote for delegates who vote for delgates. I see.

Thanks for posting this.

I note with great sadness the responses from the hardcore Trump supporters here - no one actually adresses the points in the article; they just post cutesy little pictures and make vague assertions about “establishment lies”. The pro-Trump posts here get more and more like something I’d read on democraticunderground.com every day.

I also am very disappointed that these same people are trying to make the case that anything or anyone not supporting Trump must be pro establishment. Anyone asserting that Cruz is part of the establishment is either badly misinformed, being disingenuous, or both.

The fact is, the Cruz campaign org is playing the game by the rules, and runnng rings around The Donald’s campaign org. I have no doubt that, were the roles reversed, these Trump supporters would be proudly “Trumpeting” praise for the effectiveness of the Trump org in navigating the rules of the various state primary systems.

While the Wyoming and Colorado rules aren’t my preference, there’s nothin illegitimate or even new here. This is not much different than the many states and local jurisdictions that have runoff elections if a candidate does not win a majority of the votes. The system isn’t perfect, but it is designed to prevent a candidate that is NOT preferred by a majority of the voters from winning due to the vote being split across more than two candidates.

The Donald and his org had every chance and opportunity to do the same thing that Cruz is doing, but they do not seem to have developed as effective of a state and local presence, and instead have a campaign that is focused on the many advantages Trump has with national media exposure. Both are perfectly valid strategies, neither is cheating. Grow up.

“Voterless” is a lie. But you’re likely right on Trump’s game.

So...

What Cruz should do is scream “Donald Trump stole my votes!” in non-proportionate states.

And then his followers parrot the lie, call Trump a vote-stealer, the thief candidate and off we go.

In other words, there is a whole lot of voting going on

Sure, there's a lot of voting going on. But with unpledged delegates, the votes of those registered Republicans don't count for anything.

Marc Thiessen. One of Megan Kelly’s regular Trump hitmen. I used to think he was ok..... til he started bashing the party frontrunner. If they all succeed in bringing down Trump, they all go down too. I haven’t watched kelly in months

It’s worth a thousand words. That particular old-school example could easily have been used by eiither side in The Revolution.
