Bummer there were only pansies out today but maybe that’s enough to really fire her up for other flowers when they finally show up. :-)
I did see! But only after it had happened. Now I feel so sorry for little Windy who is still on the nest with no food and seemingly not ready for flying. I guess mom thinks if he gets hungry enough, he’ll take off after food.
I wonder if Stormy is able to feed herself?
We get so caught up in their little lives!
My day was fine...though I did have to work. Have a sore throat tonight. Probably just allergies, and hoping it’s not a darn spring cold! *coff-coff*

Good evening, Pro....pretty talented, was he.
I didn’t see it as it happened either. I got to check quickly yesterday morning before heading out for the cruise-in and didn’t get to check again until around midnight. It was NOT a good day for going up that branch and they don’t know if Stormy meant to take off or if the wind blew him/her off the branch. There are a LOT of pix in the Twitter feed. They also kept the cam on him/her this afternoon.
No shots of Momma going to the branch or to the nest to feed either of them. She showed up at the nest a couple of times last night but never had food for Windy.
Windy’s made a couple of half-hearted attempts to go up a branch today and this evening.
Poor little thing looks so forlorn.

My son just left and I rejoined the Canteen.

The owlets will stick around the nest tree area for a little while but will stay off the nest. Momma will bring food for a while yet, then start teaching them to hunt.
But first, Windy has to get brave enough to make the big move.
I get the feeling Stormy didn’t plan to take off yesterday, based on watching last year. Both of those owlets stayed in the nest tree for a few days and would flap down to the nest to eat. THEN, they stayed in the trees and eventually moved to others close by.
The wind was still blowing hard yesterday and it appeared a gust blew the poor little bird off the branch. But he’s/she’s fine. Just seems a little bewildered.
Good evening, radu....just got Mom out of the tub after washing her hair. One more trip in there and she will be headed to her bed to watch tv.
Beautiful day today in the mid to high 50s, blue sky, and just a bit of a breeze.
Very good. With luck, once she’s in bed you’ll have the rest of the evening to relax.
Wow, that WAS a nice day for y’all up there. A good one for getting out and about to look for flowers.
Did you go through the car wash? LOL!

I won't last to the end, (midnight my time), but it's a great movie.
