FPIW visited the campus of the University of Washington to see if students would affirm or reject Joseph Backholm's new chosen identity: a 6'5" Chinese woman...
(And Backholm asks repeatedly if they would accept him as 7-year-old, too.)
“If I told you that I was a woman, what would your response be?” he asked.
“Good for you,” one student replied.
“I don’t have a problem with it,” another answered.
Backholm then asked students what they would think if he told them that he identified as Chinese.
“I would say good for you,” one student stated. “Yeah, be who you are.”
I would say...
“No you’re not. And don’t ask me to indulge your fantasy”
How about, I am your supreme commander?
And then he told him he identified as black as was applying for affirmative action slots and a full African American scholarship.
And all hell broke loose...
How ready they are to happily receive any proposal...as long as it is not true.
What a hoot!
I love the way he just kept backing them into a corner, showing them the ridiculousness of the whole “identify-as” movement.
After the first question, I would have a look of suspicion on my face, step slowly backwards and then turn and run, sort of like if he said that he likes eating bowls of fingernail cuticles with ketchup.
unfortunately I am not even slightly surprised
and the kicker is that a lot of those kids are paying $50k a year to learn how to be ignorant of the most obvious facts in front of their eyes

I’ll be not a single one of these students is a technical, science or math major. Their douchey soft useless majors allow them so much free time to take part in silliness like this.
It is also destroying the rest of us. We can't survive as a free nation this way.

Having never actually met one of these self-identifying loons, I have nevertheless prepared my response for when I do.
It goes like this: “I identify as a rational human being who thinks you are a lunatic, and who are you to tell me I’m wrong?”

I self identify as a billionaire. It is racist, sexist and bigoted for my bank to pretend otherwise.
