What has Trump accomplished for this country? He has really piggy backed on other conservatives viewpoints that they have been fighting for for years.
Townhall is retarded...or maybe it’s just this author, not worth bothering to find out. Apologize for the politically-incorrect terminology in advance...but they are.
As long as Trump is less that 50% going to the convention, he’s vulnerable.
However, in the last 3 contests, Cruz has won them all. WI was 36-6, CO was 30-0, and he just got all 14 remaining WY delegates. Add in the 40-0 in Utah (the same day that Trump won AZ), and you have a run of 120-6 in the last 26 days.
Trump will likely win most of the delegates in the mostly-liberal states remaining, but both will fall short of 1237. We will have the Brokered Convention, the first vote will not select a winner, the GOPe will try to insert a third name, and whether Trump bolts the Party or not, Hillary likely wins in NOV.
Your casual use of “caucuses” would tend to make one think you think that all this was open to all Republican Voters either in Colorado, or Wyoming in a single voting venue.
Insiders, and not in a single voting venue - particularly for Colorado. In BOTH states, the final ‘choosing’ of delegates involved less that 1% of the possible Republican voting electorate.
Caucuses in your usage is not equivalent to ‘voter’ no matter how any of you try to put lipstick on that pig of a sham.
Why would Trump concentrate his resources on New York, where according to his own people, he has a huge lead? Why not look for delegates in other states?
I suspect the answer is he is not doing as well in New York as he says he is. And a less than 100% delegate win in New York could doom his campaign.
Wow... Trump's megalomania is apparently contagious.
That's been the problem with his game plan all along!
Trump, along with many people on this board, does not understand the primary process.
That's a nice analogy.
Ted Cruz jetted over to make a speech to the convention (like he did in North Dakota, Iowa, and Colorado.) Trump decided to stay home in New York (where he's going to easily win his home state) on Tuesday to do? Only God knows what...
But what he's NOT doing is going to a state where delegates are in play, where he could go make a speech, where he could seek to get voters to listen to his ideas, and try to actually earn delegates.
So what it sounds like what is happening is that Trump made a deliberate strategic choice not to put effort or money into a lot of those contests, and is complaining about the results. I suppose it is working to some extent because a lot of people believe he is getting screwed, but the better explanation seems to be that he's screwed himself.
Or may it's just that he's nearly 70, and is too low energy to be flying around to all these different states to fight for delegates.
Heh.
Because the candidate is supposed to be the one doing the work... You know... To EARN the votes of the people?

Trump did this when he WON THE STATE!
So sadden and disgusTED with these “rules”. This is stealing.
If this continues and Trump is shut out of the states he already won, there will be hell to pay.
I suspect the answer is that he's tired and likes being home.
Yet he still does not comprehend those viewpoints!
Trump has worked for the votes of the little people. He has campaigned and given speeches all over the country. He has participated in more news, talk, town halls, call -in shows that any other candidate by far. What he has not done is take money from PACs funded by big monied interests, money from Wall Street, money from major individual donors who will control a Cruz if he should get in office and work with the establishment GOPe to overturn the will of those who vote.
On the other hand .cruz has only won four primaries where the people vote and three public caucuses. He and his minions know they do not have the support of the people so they have to steal the delegates behind the scenes. It is much easier to steal an item than to work and earn money public ally.
When I was young, my brother would do exactly the same thing when we played board games. If he was losing, he would scatter the board pieces, upset the board, announce he won and walk away.
Adolescent bully behavior.
Very, very well said....Bravo!!!!!!!
Trump is going after the big sales in NY, Connecticutt, Pennsylvania, NJ, Maryland and allowing Cruz to have his niche sales in WY and ND. Cruz knows he cannot compete with Trump for a majority of the sales with the people,so he competes where he can and promotes his business where it is unlikely he will get much competition. In the business worl both allow the business to survive. In the case of Cruz he hopes to pick up the spoils should the big business Trump go bankrupt.
Trump has his eyes on acquiring Cruz’s customers through buyout of the Cruz stores before or at the convention.

I had a son that did the same thing. The difference between your brother and my son and Trump is they grew out of it and became adults.
It’s going to be hard for Trump to unite the party when/if he gets the nomination. His supporters have convinced themselves of the myth they’ll attract Independents and Democrats to make that up. Wishful thinking, of course.
That’s known as delegating responsibility...That’s what really good managers and CEO’s and presidents do....
