You only had 50 people, we started out with close to three-hundred in the third district. We voted by slate for the delegates, with three slates presented. The endorsed slate, who are Cruz supporters won the delegate spots.

There were five slates for the alternates, with a lot of folks aced out because they couldn't cobble together a slate. A lot of candidates appeared on more than one slate for the Alternates. The endorsed slate won there as well, but it was closer. That was a mixture of Cruz and "did not disclose".

Besides the delegate races, we also heard from five Congressional candidates for the Lynn Westmoreland seat which is opening up. All were good, but State Sen. Mike Crane was easily the favorite of the lot. He is an ally of State Sen. Josh McKoon, who received a well-deserved hero's welcome on the floor. He also has the support of the senior family of the district, the Frost family. Both Brant V and Katie Frost are young, talented and will be heard from in the future.

Mike Crane is a very good man -- a real Conservative who cannot be bought. During the last Georgia Senate session, Crane actually voted FOR a bill, a rare event that prompted Lt. Governor Cagle to jokingly order a maintenance check to find out why Crane's green light was on. Casey Cagle is a treacherous bastard (like his boss, Nathan Deal), but that was funny.

Our supposed Senate candidate looks really, really worn out, weak.

Loudermilk gave a standard speech, mentioned lots of names of establishment types as references. Didn’t seem to impress people much up at the Cobb convention several weeks ago.
