Public caucuses such as Maine, Guam, Iowa and Nevada are fine. People have a chance to weigh in on the election in a fair manner. Insider Caucuses such as we see selecting delegates in Colorado, North Dakota, Wyoming, and others are strictly to ensure the inside party people control who is the nominee. Requiring multiple day, attendance for precincts, districts, and state is too difficult for people who have a life beyond politics.
With all due respect.....the fact is, we live in a Republic form of Government. The states have the authority to say how they will run their primaries to pick their candidate/delegates.....and Colorado fought the GOPe to retain their right to do things "their way".
If you are a Colorado, North Dakota or Wyoming resident....you have skin in the game....so you might want to push for changes next election season. If you aren't.....you have no business telling them how to conduct their state's primary business.
Those recently reviled "insider party people"? They are just normal people, and have as much right to make decisions as you do, maybe more, since they are willing to do the hard work for that right.

The bitter truth is......Trump, is playing a "Pied Piper" tune. He wouldn't be whining about all this "unfairness", or saying it was "crooked", if he had beaten Cruz, using these same rules.
He would be all over TV "crowing" about how smart/superior he was....and how he did nothing but "win, win, win".
