EXCLUSIVE: Illegal immigrants are being deported on PRIVATE JETS -taxpayers are on hook for...

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spent $116m in 2015 to transport illegal immigrants

More than 40% of those who violated their visas were convicted criminals Of those over 1,000 were identified as organized crime or gang members

Agency once hired a Boeing 767-300 to take an immigrant back to Nigeria They also hired Gulfstream IV executive jets for so-called 'high-risk charters' on at least 34 occasions

To remove an illegal immigrant costs an average of $1,962. When they needed to be taken abroad, ICE either used commercial flights or hired jets, including a Gulfstream IV.

At one point they hired a a long-range, twin engine commercial jet that seats 261 passengers to take a single illegal immigrant to Nigeria.

They had to charter flights for so-called 'high-risk charters' on at least 34 occasions, because of the number of security personnel they needed on the flight.

The statistics obtained by Daily Mail Online following a Freedom of Information request. They revealed that ICE uses commercial flights to send illegal immigrants back to 190 countries.

David Williams, president of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance: 'This is an outrageous and unacceptable waste of tax dollars. There is absolutely zero justification for spending this amount of money deporting immigrants.

'DHS needs to find a more efficient way to do this. Somebody at DHS should be held accountable for this.

'This type of wasteful spending is why the American people have such a high level of skepticism and cynicism about government.

'Leave it to the government to take a relatively simple task and make it complicated and expensive.

The latest revelations come to just months after Daily Mail Online discovered that housing someone in the nation's largest immigration detention center costs more than a night's stay at the nearest Hilton Hotel.

They’re always droning on about their stellar work ethic, right?

Let them WORK for their plane tickets..!

In the manner of Sherrif Joe we should have WORK CAMPS, and they work the fields, tilling or irrigating, for 6 months or so until they have EARNED their tickets home.

$60 billion to get rid of 30 million. We’ll save more than $60 billion the first year alone. Do it!

I would pay double if those planes didn’t land and instead just kicked them out at 5,000 feet....

[[To remove an illegal immigrant costs an average of $1,962.]]

Chump change- illegals cost this country between $400 BILLION and $600 BILLION (and some estimate it even higher) every single year- crimes, theft, murders, court fees, prisons, free stuff given to them by gubmint- on and on it goes-

Get them the heck out- then keep them out, and we will save vast amounts of money every year we can pout towards our nation’s most vulnerable legal citizens, seniors, disabled, and veterans

A military transport makes sense—deposits the deportee back to where they need to be and also provides valuable training time to military aircrew members.

The freaking wall would be paid back in a month if we didn’t have to ferry these criminals the hell out of our country. No one ever bothers to think of the costs of illegals living on welfare in this country. The Feds admit 90% get freebies. It’s disgusting. The open borders/ amnesty pukes should be arrested.

Enforce employment laws with outrageous non-compliance penalties and most illegals would self deport. The rest should be rounded up and put on trains headed South. Ike knew how to move troops and did the same with illegals back in 1953/54.

A lot of them got here by railroad car, why not send them back the same way?

Or how about ships, and I don't mean a cruise ship, I mean the same crappy boats that were used to ship troops overseas.

Land them at the very bottom of Mexico as far from the US as you can get.

I wonder if the planes return home empty, or if they pack them full of new “refugees”.

How about a nice, cold, buzzy C-47 ride to south Mexico? They’
d be SO glad to get out of that aircraft, and never return under threat of another ride just like this one.
