I’m still trying to figure out how his father got into this.

No matter - I’ll vote for Trump if he gets the nod, but I’m a Conservative so I’ll back the Conservative until I’m forced to back someone else.

I’m still trying to figure out how his father got into this.

His father is on one Christian radio show after another making promises after promises.

Yeah, it is difficult to admit but I would vote for Ted too if he gets the nomination. In fact, I voted for him in the Alabama primary. It was a flip of a coin between Ted and Trump. I started leaning towards Trump later because I believe he would do more to get our economy moving. If we don’t do that, our nation is in deep trouble.

He never has made a case for what he can do for voters. I guess that is why he prefers to not have voters being an important part of the process.

Cruz has nothing to offer, no executive experience, business experience, CEO experience where he would be in charge of payrolls and employees, nothing. He got where he is with the outsider schtick in an insurgent year but any governor in the race is more qualified than Cruz.

btw if not for Cruz you would have had the gang of 8...

I never bought that. Cruz had a 500% H1b increase in his amendment and double green cards. Tell me one Democrat who would be poisoned by that.

But when Cruz saw the deal going south he dreamt up this poison bit because the Democrats lost citizenship. But Cruz had offered a legal path just without voting. Like the Dems wouldn't have them voting in the next session.

I listened and Cruz said 11 elections in 4 different states. State primaries are totally weird.

I knew Ronald Reagan. You are no Reagan.

Donald Trump is today’s version of Ronald Reagan.

Immigration - Mexico will pay for the wall....oops no. Ok we’ll confiscate transfer payments...

______________________

I negotiate for a living. What Trump is discussing is pressure points. There are different methodologies for coming to an agreement with the Mexican government.

Yes we could stop those payments based upon US law. That is a pressure point.

Yes, we do give Mexico foreign aid every year..that is a pressure point.

This is how you begin to negotiate a deal, you let the other guy know, that you know their weaknesses.

We can get into trade tariffs. The US is still the largest consumer market in the world.

We do hold all the cards against Mexico, you do know that right?

_____________

On the local precinct level, the precincts voted for delegates of whom in some precincts, they were told they could not divulge their allegiances.

Not exactly your typical caucus or election.

Who in the world would agree to that? Vote for me as delegate because I am bald.

The Colorado GOP told the precinct delegates that if they divulged who they were supporting it would become binding as the delegates moved through the process and the GOP wanted to leave the National delegates unbound.

It was a GOPe maneuver. I have no idea if the “CRUZ” delegates are bound or unbound at this point.

Ahh the old “he's the best negotiator” angle.

Any thing we do to try to hurt their economy will also hurt all the US companies doing business there, like Ford & Carrier that Trump apparently cares so much about. Think Mexico would just let their economy rot and not impose higher taxes on those companies in retaliation?

How can you stop transfer payments for people that don't have SS#s?

You can't say we are the largest consumer AND say we hold all the cards because most of the junk we consume is not made here in any capacity.

Maybe put down the Art of the Deal and read some Friedman.

When Trump stops the Raping of America it will not be sudden. There will be a Transition stage allowing for manufacturing with modern robotics to take hold here. Its simple business sense, you do not hurt yourself but cover your bases before doing anything where they can hurt you.

As far as the Remittances that’s fast to do since the Executive branch is over all aspects of trade and we already have the laws and banking infrastructure in place now.

I also anticipate he will break up some of the bigger mega corps whose lobbyists have caused us so much corruption. If that happens you can expect a lot of smaller manufacturing operations springing up all over. Especially if they relax much of the protectionist regulatory environment blocking it here.

Going after individuals who are simply transferring money by executive action, which every liberal court would shoot down, is not any better than anything Obama has done so you are promoting the same.

Robotics are not free. Why risk that much capital to continually be under cut in price from manufacturing overseas? Are you planning on putting a tariff on every good from every country?

Breaking up these “mega” corporations will not allow for electronic components, TVs, toys and apparel to all of sudden be made here. Your boy can't control every cost input from the White House, let along labor costs and insurance.

Sure break up the airlines and the phone companies..... it's actually a good idea. They don't make Nike sneakers.

You act as though Mexico does not have to compete as a producer trying to sell into the US a with Indonesia, China and other countries. You would be wrong. There is terrific overlap in sourcing most of those goods.

The importing country has the cards since we have the consumer market. Likewise, China now has more clout because they have developed their consumer market. As a manufacturer, they spent a lot of time knocking on doors because they had to get their products in. Of course all of that changed due to Clinton in the late 1990’s.

As far as the wire transfers going to Mexico, since 2009, the US has placed strict monetary controls regarding funds leaving the country. You can absolutely stop those payments especially re: no social security numbers.

“Going after individuals who are simply transferring money by executive action, which every liberal court would shoot down, is not any better than anything Obama has done so you are promoting the same.”

Difference is Obama and dems want to tax legal American middle class. Trumps method targets illegals and drug money. So it is not the same.

“Robotics are not free. Why risk that much capital to continually be under cut in price from manufacturing overseas? Are you planning on putting a tariff on every good from every country?”

Hyperbole. The reason its so costly here is because of government rigging the playing field to protect the Global interests. Tariffs are a last option, only dishonest people lead with that argument. First thing would be stopping currency manipulation, close would be forcing open the other countries markets to our manufacturers, many many things can be done to level the playing field before Tariffs and those take time to work. So its a red herring at this point.

The reason robotics are so costly here is government regulations creating protectionism of union workers. Japan for example has very well developed robotics and automation for business. These are fixable when the corruption is minimized that controls our government.

“Breaking up these “mega” corporations will not allow for electronic components, TVs, toys and apparel to all of sudden be made here. Your boy can’t control every cost input from the White House, let along labor costs and insurance.”

Sure it can, Read the book Wealth of Nations. You grow the pie not divide it.

“Sure break up the airlines and the phone companies..... it’s actually a good idea. They don’t make Nike sneakers.”

And we do not make them either do mostly to Government regulations protecting Global Mega corps. Not like we cannot if we had a free market here.

” Trumps method targets illegals and drug money. So it is not the same.”

Pie in the sky. Plus not all the money that goes back is from illegals. A small chunk of the Mexican economy is from USD transfer payments. Again, no liberal circuit court is going to allow Trump to confiscate money from future Democrats.

“Tariffs are a last option” - do you even listen to Trump? He thinks because he talks the Chinese will do everything he says which is completely stupid. The Chinese do what's best for the Chinese. Tariffs are his first and last card. And Tariffs NEVER work. You just need to go back to 2002 and the Bush steel tariff to see that.

And you can't stop currency manipulation unless you decide to unleash the US Treasury onto the FX markets to sell dollars.

Come on man.....you think the Japanese and Chinese are going to let their currency float higher because Trump decides to threaten them? If anything the Chinese, with $2+T in FX reserves will start to dump US Treasuries and sell their own currency to screw us up before the ink is dry on the first tariff proclamation. Stop falling for this “I'm a winner” BS. Governments can't be bullied like some lady who owns a house in Atlantic City.

“Sure it can, Read the book Wealth of Nations.” - So you want the gov’t to set the playing field as to who grows and who doesn't?

“And we do not make them either do mostly to Government regulations protecting Global Mega corps.” So your solution to the jobs issue to to punish the corporations that have operations overseas.

Good plan - I'm sure they'll be more than happy to come back here and overpay for labor because Trump helped to kill their profits. Or is your focus on both sides of the world so say force a company like GE to move operations to less profitable places and close the tax loopholes while you run tariffs into the countries where they have local operations.

Thanks for playing the “I'm a this” card, thus being condescending while you light me up for being condescending.

All your analysis you forget that China has $2+T in FX reserves and a holds a nice chunk of our debt. They don't have to knock on doors, the US and Europe+UK have been begging them to buy sovereign debt for over a decade.

And for the wire transfers - these are not all criminals that are sending money back to Mexico. The second Trump gets it wrong and starts to stop legit payments back is the second the program dies......if it doesn't get pushed to the 9th circuit before it even gets going.

“You act as though Mexico does not have to compete as a producer trying to sell into the US a with Indonesia, China and other countries. You would be wrong. There is terrific overlap in sourcing most of those goods.”

Or do you forget that Trump has already threatened tariffs on China and Indonesia and other countries who simply don't bend to his will? Any coordinated effort by the BRICs, led by China, will ripple through Asia. The prospect of trying to kill anyone who doesn't simply trade the way Trump wants to will force Europe, most notably Germany, to turn against us.

Because its international and the laws already exist on the books for it the argument a court will not allow it is Mute.

Tariffs are an option and if they will not play ball its less costly on us to impose a tariff as contrasted with the trade deficit.

Of course you can stop money manipulation without having to extort to extreme measures. without US China collapses quickly. So they will deal IF we have smart people on our side.

and yes all our trade partners will settle on new terms to avoid the economic hardship to them dragging it out will cause them

I do not know who has taught you economics and business but this is all garbage arguments made so far by you
