SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) A Maine high school student says he was ridiculed by faculty members when he wore a red baseball cap bearing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumps campaign slogan.
South Portland High School student Connor Mullen says he expected students to taunt him when he started wearing the hat to school three weeks ago.
But the 16-year-old sophomore says he alerted school administrators on Friday when two adults who worked in the school made fun of him, including a teacher who allegedly said, Thank God you cant vote.

uh-oh...
Both sides have their snowflakes.
When pigs teach....
If he had been wearing an Obama hat and anyone said anything they would have been accused of a hate crime.
including a teacher who allegedly said, Thank God you cant vote. .............................. Hey, NEA, did you expect anything other than?
Good for the kid for smokin’ ‘em out! The kids do know the leanings of the teachers, and pretty much mock the idealogues. That said, the student peer pressure to “go for the Bern” is intense.
One way to get stupid rules broken is to demand they be enforced. That snowflake is going to continue to taunt the liberals.
Many school teachers are nothing more than over indulged children who never learned to think outside themselves, and who never grew up.
Some so-called ‘adults’ who were bestowed with a degree, like to think they are more intelligent than kids, but they aren’t. All they have is book learning and that’s not a measure of intelligence.
Thankfully, most kids are smart enough to see through hypocritical adults.
Shouldn’t be wearing a hat in school in the first place. Stow in your locker when you get there and put it on after you leave the building.
Those that can’t do, teach.
Those that can’t teach, teach gym.
Long for the day when government employees like these are out of work and unemployable. Should be grounds for termination.
Unfortunately, neither Trump nor Cruz nor any other candidate is going to fix the horrible condition of this nation.
There is a glimmer of hope that conservatives could rebuild from the ash heaps of this one after Revolution 2. But, based on the infighting of this campaign among supposed conservatives, I have my doubts about even that possibility.
Agreed
Big Bully. I hope he sleeps well.
Your Trump airplane reminded me of another of Trumps failures:
“The high debt forced Trump to default on his loans, and ownership of the company was turned over to creditors.”

Thank God you cant vote.
I’m sure the ACLU is going to have a chat with this person seeing that “Thou Shall Not Mention God In State Schools” is one of the liberal’s ten sickening commandments. This teacher is clearly corrupting the morals of this kid.
My friend’s daughter is getting harassed by a public school teacher over her preference for Donald Trump. She CAN vote this fall though ... and in a swing state. He is making her life a living hell.
What’s funny is that I know him. I knew him when he used to get the living shit kicked out of him back in the 1980s (he is *still* angry at the jocks that did that to him ... I was more of the headbanger/nerd crowd and was friends with this guy and would help him since they all thought I worshiped satan!).
I’ll be having a chat with him soon ... last time we had a talk about politics, he almost started crying (he demands respect for being a teacher you know ... I, on the other hand, demand they earn it ... right off the bat we don’t see eye to eye :-) ).
Sue the pigs. Imagine if they dared to “taunt” a black student for wearing a Jesse Jackson hat.
For what it’s worth I hope the adults who ridiculed him are punished. It was a disgusting thing to do to a student. One of my former students told me he remembered how important it was to vote & that on his 18th b’day he registered.
Hey, stay classy w/ the anti teacher comments ; )
