Two things to remember:
First, whatever Hastert did or did not do has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with conservative principles. If he is shown to be a hypocrite, then that is what he is. He is responsible under the law for his own actions, and should be held accountable for them, as should we all.
Second, if Hastert is guilty, he should pay the price.
If he were a dimocrat this is a resume enhancer.
Damn, you haven't been paying attention. This is exactly the principle the longest serving Speaker of the House needs on his resume. You cannot be controlled unless you have something someone can hold over your head. Imagine after the Clinton's got a hold of the FBI files, they destroyed Gingrich and then forced a pedophile into the Speakership. You don't know how Washington works.....................
