If you believe in the Constitution and conservatism, you aren't a Trump supporter.
Different people support Trump for different reasons. Phyllis Schlafley believes in the Constitution and conservatism. For some conservatives, it is an existential question, taking a bigger than life character with his own stash of resources and 30 years of defined persona to get the job done, even if imperfectly.
For others, it is a need to clean the augean stables before more thoughtful conservatives do the hardwork of recalibrating and rebuilding intellectual scaffolding with a fresh foundation. For others, it is a pure nationalism play, nationalism in the good (non-globalist) sense.
I do not personally trust Trump, but his supporters do. I will NOT accuse their conservatism or their constitutionalism. Trump's weak there, but anti-PC is a great starting point. There is no need around here to start hurling excommunications back and forth.
