Resign for what? Americans are happy with the way things are. They proved it. The whiny-ass American public elected Barky. And Mitch McConnell. And Paul Ryan. And so on and so forth. I'm looking out my window and I don't see any demonstration demanding impeachment.
But let's follow your logic. He reigns. The what? The next one? Then the next one? When we have gathering enemies looking to take us out? You live in a fantasy land.
Let me ask you a question: When does the responsibility of the American people come into play? When?
Most of the American people have never served a day in uniform and don’t know a M-16 from an A-10, unlike many of the people here on FR who are vets. The senior leaders in the military are responsible for the current train wreck. It’s not a fantasy to expect the nation’s military leaders to have a conscience and moral courage.

But isn’t it also true that climbing up the military ladder requires not just CYA but also kissing ass the best? You’ve seen it. I’ve seen it. Those who know how to play the game and know what sells are those that succeed to the lofty heights of general/flag officer...
And nothing pisses me off more than hearing not one but three past Sec Defs bitch about how crappy it was working for Obozo after the fact.
