No but their enforcement "priorities" can be changed as Obama did with ICE and the Border Patrol.
The agency could be reoriented to focus on say, protecting the second amendment rights of all Americans against abuses at the state and local level. The lefty lifers will jump ship immediately. No need for pink slips.
