Does anyone know what these 'safe spaces' actually mean?? “I totally do believe in safe space and the principles behind it,” she told the Telegraph. “It’s supposed to enhance free speech and not shut it down, and give everyone a chance to feel like they can contribute.

Well dear, you're a liberal who just got a taste of what it feels like when you disagree with the status quo. Sorry, but the company you keep would gleefully throw you under the bus rather than examine their own principles.

Raising one's hand in class is a micro-aggression to those who don't know the answer.

If anyone ever accuses me of a ‘micro-aggression’ then I intend to treat them to a MACRO-aggression!

Nowadays, if I were sitting next to snowflakes spouting bullshit, I’d probably just pick my nose and wipe the boogers on them. Not disagreement, just a comment on their worth.

For those curious about the infraction, here is the relevant portion of the Edinburgh University Safe Space Policy:
  1. All members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which is respectful and considerate of the contributions of others. This is defined as:
    1. Allowing Council members to speak when called upon by the chair.
    2. Refraining from speaking over, interrupting, heckling, laughing at or otherwise distracting from the speaker who holds the floor.
    3. Refraining from hand gestures which denote disagreement or in any other way indicating disagreement with a point or points being made. Disagreements should only be evident through the normal course of debate.
    4. Avoiding using gestures which are not generally known or accepted by Council.
    5. Gestures indicating agreement are permissible, if these gestures are generally understood and not used in an intimidating manner.
    6. Applause is acceptable when a motion is passed only, not if a motion fails to pass. Otherwise, agreement should be made clear within debate contributions.
