Ted Cruz is clearly pinning his hopes on winning the GOP presidential nomination via a contested/brokered convention this summer in Cleveland. Drifting slowly beneath the Establishment swamp though is a small army of RNC-devoted delegates who are poised to quickly alter the nomination outcome upon the second and third votes, and neither Donald Trump nor Ted Cruz are likely to survive that outcome.
Why Mr. Cruz continues to allow himself to be used so openly by the GOP Establishment as a wedge to prevent Donald Trump from reaching the majority of delegates necessary to lock up the nomination remains unclear to even some of Cruz’s supporters. Cruz has embraced the Republican Establishment in recent weeks, turning his campaign over to the very forces he once railed against as the “DC Cabal.”
Watch the following video to see what the RNC has already planned in order to overtake the nomination process during a brokered convention. It comes in the form of 168 RNC-loyal delegates who will quickly break away from Trump once voting begins, and then likely do the same to Cruz and finally coalesce behind a candidate who might not have even won a single vote during the primary race – a “fresh face” as GOP Establishment strategist Karl Rove recently declared could emerge.
It’s hard to imagine a man as intelligent as Ted Cruz is unaware of this, which would suggest he’s a willing accomplice in the willful disenfranchisement of millions of GOP primary votes, and if that is in fact true, the remaining question then is WHY?

What you seem to not factor in is CRuz is UniParty.
That’s the only reason he works for them, as the mule for the GOPE at all, because they can not stand him personally, but he serves a purpose for a time to hold TRUMP under 1237, so that they can run that Third Ballot and unload Cruz’ sorry nether region on the convention room floor, too.
If it weren’t so tragic it would be laughable.
Why do you think Reince Priebus looks like the cat who just swallowed the family canary? It “ain’t” over Cruz ever being the nominee, that’s for certain.

I think they have miscalculated this time.
Cruz should stay in until he is mathematically eliminated— Kasich should have already dropped out..
Trump just recently hired a top notch guy with experience at wrangling delegates at presidential conventions.
I don’t recall his name, but it’s been mentioned on other threads in recent days. This guy has experience courting delegates at conventions since 1976.
Also, FOX had a story recently about how Trump has a plan to lobby delegates between the end of the primaries on June 7th and the start of the convention on July 18th.
Just throwing this out there....
There is one fly in the ointment. It is very simple. The Cruz/Trump Delegates will combine to defeat any change of rules. Too bad the Gope forgot that. It has to pass the convention floor vote. YAHOO!!

If he falls short he needs to cut a deal with Cruz.
Cruz can release his delegates before the first ballot in exchange for the VP spot.
Trump and Cruz need to come to an agreement now. Whoever finishes second in number of delegates should release all their delegates before the first ballot at the convention.
Back up plan is #NoTrumpNoGOP

If it is anyone other than TRUMP as the nominee, it will be the end of the RNC.
It means we have to build a Third Party after all, since we would have failed to take over the Republican Party this cycle, which has been our hope.
Cruz as it turns out is seriously one-of-them, so the UniParty is his game now, obviously. TRUMP remains the only outsider chance of blowing up the Establishment, and Cruz restores them.
Cruz is now way too far indebted to the DC Cartel politically and all along the the globalists financially, to ever be anything other than a tool for the restoration of the GOPE power, that TRUMP has threatened.
We wait and see.
It does not matter what the establishment choice is unless he has the majority of 8 state delegates and Trump/ Cruz will not change the rule 40 on the floor of the convention. == so Suck wind GOPe!! This war has a great GENERAL TRUMP. I don’t think Rove and Will are any match.

I can’t speak for Sen. Cruz, but he may be more interested in the open seat on the Supreme Court in this scenario.
I am sending that guy an donation. I hope others will join me.
