That is a very unfortunate series of decisions made by the man. :-(

So sad. I’m sure there will be those who mock and make fun of his death, but just remember he was someone’s son. He didn’t make a wise choice and paid the ultimate price for it.

I remember being taught that the oncoming train is coming fast then you think.
You look down and see the train but it looks a long way off. Then bam is there.

Yeah, dumb maybe. But I can think of worse things to die for than saving a dog. Just my $0.02.

Hey, I’m OK with this. He made a choice and a calculated decision. He lost. I prolly wouldn’t have made that choice.

He put the dog in that position in the first place.
if you love your pet and are outdoors with them around vehicles, keep them on a leash.
part’of loving your animal is staying alive to take care of them.

I knew someone who drove her car over the train tracks when there was a train coming, and the car crapped out right on the tracks. She hurried and got out of the car, but then remembered that she left her dogs in the car. She went back to get them out. She was crushed to death between the train and the car. The car was totaled, but the dogs were fine. She loved her dogs that much.

I love dogs and volunteer for a German shepherd rescue but I would not try to save my own dog in that situation. Ditto for car traffic.
