This is exactly what we would expect from Cruz. The fact that it came from Donald - along with the pissing and moaning from the Trump supporters - is most delicious.

Yum.

And why not?
If you break the law, you are punished.
Why is this any different?

IF the procedure is banned, why would one expect if you broke the law by having it you would face no punishment??

Seems pretty simple answer to me, but it will be portrayed as an affront to humanity of course.

Not the act of infanticide itself mind you, but the fact if it were made illegal you would face punishment for doing it.

Pre-Roe, the laws always always regarded the women as crime victims, not as perps.

Prosecutions of abortionists were almost always triggered by some abortion client’s being admitted to the ER. Her testimony against the doctor was generally necessary to get a conviction.

Punish men who participate in abortion - at least feminazis would go for that.

"So what should the punishment be for a woman who willfully kills or allows her baby to be killed?

Or is this talk about abortion being murder simply hot air?"

I am pro-life, but I am of the personal opinion that most women these days are so brainwashed into believing that what they have conceived in their bodies is "just a clump of cells" that they (unlike the "doctors" performing the procedure) are not even cognizant that they are killing a baby. I would liken it to someone telling you to shoot at a barrel. They know there is a person inside, but you don't. The guilt is on them, not you.

Add to that the the emotional pressure and the coercive and dishonest tactics of Planned Parenthood and other abortion promoters, and I have serious doubts about the complete culpability of most women getting abortions. In a lot of ways, they are the second victim.

Like I have said repeatedly Donald Trump is a loudmouth Idiot that is his own worst enemy. If he was an everyday joe he'd have his ass kicked most days at the local pub.

He's nothing more than a Chimpanzee that found two sentences that strike a cord with the public. Build a wall and deport illegals. (Both of which he has already said are "negotiable") Other than that all he does is sling verbal crap at people.

He just can't stop handing ammo to the opposition.

Anyone think Ole Loud Mouth can tap into the 70% disapproval women have of him now? Hahahaha

A nut?

How is Trump supporting one of the most fundamental conservative principles make him a “nut”?

I’ve never heard Mr. Trump say anything like this in any of his debates or speeches so I assume this is bullcrap.

He's a hollow man, devoid of principle or core beliefs. He spouts off the first thing that pops into his head with no reflection.

He's either not that bright or is deliberately throwing the election to the Dems.

I agree. If an action is made illegal, then clearly criminal prosecution would be appropriate if that action is taken. That IS pretty straight forward and self evident.

Yet, I doubt he is supporting making abortion illegal. Just a couple of weeks ago he confirmed that he would support the continued funding of the nation’s leading abortion mill, so it is an argument based on a false premise.

Mrs Don-o will be along to point out the foolishness of Trump’s blather on this one. I shan’t steal her thunder.

By tomorrow he’ll be denying everything.

Doesn't matter, Hillary has the sound bite. THAT is what will run on the Network Lead Story for the next day or two.... followed smartly with an interview with PP President and an inner city woman with 14 kids.

Donnie Trump: making Hillary's Ads GREAT AGAIN! One stupid comment at a time.

This is the statement “they” have been waiting for!!!

Sure. And it also is the statement we (Socons) have been waiting for.

I guaran - damn - tee ya. If Trump doesn’t walk back this comment and if he stays on message here - he will win the general with a landslide.

This will FINALLY be the reason true conservatives will have to vote for him.

I like the idea of a non-politician.
I can comprehend and understand theories without having my opinion spoon-fed to me by a third party media bimbette.

I hope we see more people run for office who are not party hacks. We will all benefit,

politics has always been a dirty business but have you ever noticed how much dirtier and corrupt DC has become since the Clintons were there? Now another one of those scoundrel is wanting in to the WH. I hope the people of this country won't let that happen.

In practice all 50 States treated the woman as the victim of an unscrupulous operator. This “legal fiction”, if you will, was necessary in order to convict the abortionist.

I’d like to go back to the status quo ante, and fight it out in the states -— the only place we’ve ever had any victories.

Yes, and I’m sitting here wondering just how well Trump’s comment is going to go over in New York. New York values, you know...
