I thought Marquette is a Jesuit school, not a Catholic school.

The Society of Jesus is an order of the Catholic church so that would make a Jesuit college a Catholic school, I believe.

Maybe Marquette should be called a “historically Catholic college” (like Bluefield State College in West Virginia is a “historically black college” with a student body that is over 80% white).
