Hey we have federal law ignored for millions of illegals - by the president, we have an administration that we know won’t prosecute its corrupt secretary of state.
So probably no big deal to just ignore the federal laws that undoubtedly are in place to assist the SS in protecting candidates.

It’s unclear why agents themselves didn’t intervene.
