DeLay: Cruz Must Sue Over Affair Allegations or Risk Presidential Bid
newsmax.com ^ | Bill Hoffmann

Posted on 03/29/2016 11:43:14 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

The National Enquirer story that alleges Ted Cruz had extramarital affairs with five women is a "festering boil" that could sink the Texas senator's presidential bid unless takes immediate legal action to discredit it, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV. "I think if he would sue The Enquirer right now, it would put the story to bed," DeLay, a Texas Republican, said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

Cruz has angrily denied any truth to the Enquirer report and charges that Republican presidential front-runner is behind it — an allegation Trump strongly denies.

"He needs to get a hold of some people that know how to handle this kind of thing because this is so typical of politicians. They just wish that the story would go away," DeLay said.

I think Perry just ran over Cruz with a bus.

I don’t get the connection. Typically folks from Pentecostal denominations are not particularly social with the Mormon. But, I realize it’s an election Ted will resume his principles after the campaign. Beck? He’s over.

Delay, Perry, they all sound the same to me.

Why is ANYONE asking this nitwit what he thinks?

In any event. No. That would be about as stupid as it gets.

Or he can admit to the affairs and run as a democrat. The dems don’t like their candidates and if the affairs are true Cruz is more than qualified for their ticket.

Admitting to the affairs would actually make it much easier for me to vote form him. I don’t care much about affairs but I really care about the potential for blackmail if he’s hiding something. I don’t think he can convince me beyond a doubt that he’s innocent so that concern will be there if he wins the nomination and I have to vote for him over Hillary.

If the theory that Cruz camp planted the NE story so the actual affair would pale in comparison is correct, then of course they wouldn’t sue. Just a theory that I don’t subscribe to haha

I doubt that’s going to happen. If it were, Cruz wouldn’t have allowed Fiorina to speak for him to the Daily Mail.

What has Beck said? I missed that.

Well remember during the Bill Clinton / Monica scandal, the feminist that said she would give Bill all the oral gratification Bill wanted as long as he protected their abortion... you know the old you scratch my back I'll scratch your back thing?

Beck said something similar...

Lying Ted could file a lawsuit to make it go away now, but then he would have to drop the lawsuit later. Discovery would burn the burnt toasTED.

To say that slimy anti-cruz zealots will ever let this issue drop is laughable

Wow, are you in denial. cruz is what he is, and that is not anyone's fault but his own.

He needs to keep on keeping on not roll in the dirt like the Trumps.
This is way beyond silly. In fact it is school stuff of girls.

All he has to do is come out and say, “I have never been unfaithful to my wife, Heidi.” And that will put an end to it. The fact he hasn’t is frankly, disturbing.

Delay is being ridiculous. Having read the article, it is sue-proof because it doesn’t say the accusations are true. Further, all these people who think lawsuits are the answers to everything are wrong.

Lawsuits take forever. They are complicated. Discovery into Cruz’s personal life would be messy.

How many times has Delay sued a newspaper?

Beck has said that if any of it is true he will drop him like a hot potato.
