Seems I remember a great American patriot sounding the alarm.

Ross Perot. Huge sucking sound of jobs leaving this country.

Typically when I mention Ross’s name, I get the ol, whoa whoa, votin fer Perot gave us Clinton.

To that I reply, No, it was George Bush sr. and his promise of no new taxes, then capitulating to the liberals thereby betraying conservatives.

While I agree with you that this was the number one cause, I also believe that Ross Perot caused the election to be thrown to Clinton. Had Ross Perot gotten out, George HW Bush would have won the majority.

And yes, I've seen the polls that claim otherwise, but I do not believe them for a minute. Ross Perot's constituency was primarily Libertarian Republicans, who would have came back home but for Ross Perot.

But Yes, George HW Bush screwed himself and us too when he broke his word. That single decisions was the biggest political blunder i've seen in my life. It cost him the election, and it empowered that snake Clinton.

Funny that Perot said that before the longest (or was it the second longest?) peacetime economic expansion in U.S. history.
