Conclusion: Should Conservatives Support Trump If He Wins The GOP Nomination?
ConservativeHQ ^ | March 29, 2016 | Richard Viguerie and George Rasley

Posted on 03/29/2016 9:04:48 AM PDT by Defiant

In the final installment of our series on what conservatives should do if Donald Trump wins the nomination we look at a final scenario and offer our recommendation on whether conservatives should join Trump or the Republican establishment at the Republican National Convention.

.......

Conclusion

If conservatives form their own cultural conservative Third Party to oppose Trump in the General election they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

If conservatives sit out the election they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

Based on the historical evidence, the results to-date in the 2016 primaries and 2016 exit polling if conservatives make a deal at the Republican National Convention to deprive Donald Trump of the nomination they are certain to elect Hillary Clinton.

The only scenario that does not, on its face, result in the election of Hillary Clinton is an alliance at the Republican National Convention between Cruz’s conservative delegates and Trump’s populist delegates who unite to guarantee that the two leading post-primary candidates are nominated as President and Vice President – as they were in 1980.

Right now, the establishment’s goal is to sow as much chaos as possible in the lead-up to the Republican National Convention so that no candidate reaches the magic number of the 1,237 delegates necessary to win the nomination on the first ballot.

We urge Donald Trump and Ted Cruz delegates to be smart about what is happening, keep their eye on the prize, which is defeating Hillary Clinton and dismantling the establishment stranglehold on our country, and to follow the lead of their compatriots in Tennessee by forming an alliance to ensure that the Republican National Convention nominates a conservative – populist ticket.

This is the 4th in a series of articles published by Viguerie's web site about what conservatives should do if Trump wins. I am not a Cruz supporter, I was a strong one, but not much any more, but Viguerie remains a strong Cruz supporter. Nonetheless, he and I agree on the need for the two of them to continue to work together to defeat the establishment, if at all possible. Ted has been mucking that up more than Trump, in my opinion.

Here are the 3 previous parts of this series:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Maybe they should start with repairing the damage that we inflicted on both Trump and Cruz. We had this in the bag, and our own vitriol against candidates endorsed by both a Heritage and Schafly will be our downfall.

I would LOVE to see Ted working with Trump to beat the GOP-e, but the fact of the matter is that he’s too deluded and pompous to do so. He wants nothing else other than the Presidency, and he is willing to boost up the GOP-e and sabotage Trump to do so.

At least the Cruz delegates in Tennessee aren’t willing to commit to Cruz’s latest collaboration with the GOP-e. Now I don’t have to give my friends who voted for the Cruz delegates quite as much flack.

“what conservatives should do if Donald Trump wins the nomination”

I am tired of the lies that conservatives oppose Trump and that Trumps supporters are uneducated.

Conservatives support Trump. The people who oppose
Trump are Globalists, Washington insiders and GOPe careerists, all of whom want Hillary Clinton to win the election.

His main goals have been the ones prior Republicans failed all on, so HELL yes.
Or heavens yes if you are sensitive. :-)

No.

But be ready to welcome Hillary or Bernie, two goons of the lunatic left.

I look at it this way. I’m unsure that Donald Trump would respect the role of a President with Constitutionally limited powers.

I am absolutely certain Hillary Clinton would not.

I am relatively certain Donald Trump would implement policies I favor.

I am absolutely Hillary Clinton would not.

It’s a no-brainer for me.

I will vote for Trump in the general, after all I voted for McLame and Mittens and they were not conservative either.

But can he win the nomination?

He acts like he's losing, lying and slandering Ted Cruz.

Afraid to debate him now that field has cleared.

I agree with you on that. Is it conservative to take conservative positions while agreeing with policies that ensure that conservatives can never win elections that would allow them to implement their policies?

I would first like to thank all the conservatives who did not vote in the 2016 election.

Trump vs. Hillary

I’m not sure who to vote for if it comes to this.

One is a lifelong liberal with a history of shady financial deals and who has supported Planned Parenthood, and the other is Hillary.

Conclusion: Should Conservatives Support Trump If He Wins The GOP Nomination?

Absolutely. He will at least do many things that are necessary to save the nation from collapse.

If Trump wins the nomination, I will vote for him. I am a Cruz supporter, but I will gladly switch to Trump if he is our nominee.

Besides, it's the only way I see Hillary going to prison where she belongs.
