“You seemed to have missed that I gave a basis for my speculation, which I have now emphasized in bold font to make it easier to see.”

Exactly “But based on his track record.....”
Sorry I left that out.
It worked out so well for Cruz the last
time why not do it again. Yep makes sense to me/S

Ahhh now there’s that selective “Sarcasm tell” again.
I’m glad I learned about that gist.

Well I certainly hope he does not follow the pattern again.

Lets bring this full circle to your original argument. A rhetorical sarcasm to suggest Trump supporters are unfair and ridiculous in how they blame Cruz for everything:

Obviously, Ted Cruz was behind this...

And followed by my response which immediately won the actual argument, after which you were left trying to save face by firing back with sarcastic vulgarity:

Its either rabid left wingers or people pretending to be. Nobody is that despicable on our side. But based on his track record after Trump was attacked in Chicago, Cruz might try to blame Trump for provoking the rabid left wing into making this sick threat (as if they would be any nicer to him if he were leading the Republican race).

First I made a distinction that Cruz would not be as bad as you suggested sarcastically, but was able to bring up the point that Cruz had treated Trump unfairly.

If you had wanted to continue with the argument you would have had to show that Trump supporters were being unfair to Cruz, and show that Cruz had not been unfair to Trump. But you really did not have anything to work with, so you lashed out with sarcastic vulgarity and tried to justify it by distorting what I said and making increasingly silly speculations as to my motives.

But what do I know? I am just a dumb old Trump supporter. Not smart or rational or disciplined or educated enough to understand how bad he is and all...(now that is making an implied argument using sarcasm to say that many anti-Trump people have a negative stereotype of Trump supporters that I am a counter example of--not every use of rhetorical sarcasm is what Scott Adams calls a "Sarcasm Tell", only ones that are used to save face after losing an argument and avoiding admitting the other person made a good point).
