NRA to Anti-Gun ‘Elites’: ‘We Gun Owners Are a Heck of a Lot Smarter Than You’ll Ever Be’

“Well, I've got news for the elites who look down their noses at all of us and our rights,” said LaPierre at the Liberty University on March 23. “We gun owners are a heck of a lot smarter than you'll ever be. It's true."

He also stressed, “In all of the world, some of the smartest citizens are American gun owners."

Speaking at a convocation at the university, LaPierre said, “It’s gotten to the point in this country where one of America’s greatest vulnerabilities is the failure of the media to provide a level playing field for the truth. And it’s up to all of us to hold their feet to the fire.”

“It’s up to all of you to call them out for their lies,” said the NRA vice rpesident and CEO. “When you see them doing it, stand up to them, get right in their face. Do something about it because it can make a difference.”

"So many of those elites, they think they're better than us,” he said. “They somehow think they're more sophisticated. They think they're more intellectually evolved somehow than we are. Or they think they're just somehow plain smarter than we are.”

“Well, I've got news for the elites who look down their noses at all of us and our rights,” said LaPierre. “We gun owners are a heck of a lot smarter than you'll ever be. It's true."

"In all of history," he continued, "there's never been a group of citizens so engaged, so determined, so resolute and so unified in defending freedom, so politically savvy and individually prepared and responsible for protecting our families and our communities. Never have there been smarter, freer American citizens than America's 100 million gun owners."

He’s right. Get rid of the ivory tower and gave the media tell the truth and this country would be unstoppable.

..gun owners are engaged, determined, politically savvy, and “a heck of a lot smarter than” the elites will ever be”...

HRH George III began to discover that when his Redcoats marched back home through the woods on the road back home from Lexington to Concord.

Bottom line:

Record numbers of people have not spent the money on firearms, accessories, and ammunition during the Obama economy to meekly surrender what amounts often substantial investment.

Ahhhh...he's poking a liberal sacred cow, IQ.

Liberals have always been desperate to be regarded as smarter than anyone else. It's a core value of theirs. And it is their self-justification for trying to dictate how everyone else should think, behave, and live.

The problem for them is, liberals are of average intelligence but of exceptional unjustified self worth. They can be counted on to attack their enemies’ intelligence. But they will avoid like the plague offering proof of their self-professed superior intelligence.

It's the old image versus substance game.

The dealer placed my very FIRST gun in my hands. I remember the little prayer I said over that 9mm LC9.
I said to the gun, “I will learn to use you. We will go together to the range. I will take care of you and you of me. What I hope and PRAY is that I WILL NEVER, NEVER HAVE NEED OF YOU!!!”
No one needs a gun until the moment he/she REALLY, REALLY needs it. It is called protecting you and yours, considered a basic right.

The liberal elite love to think on Utopian
ideologies that reek of the book “Animal Farm”.
“All animals are equal, but some are more
equal, than others.”

I possess an I.Q. above 120. I “challenged out”
my first two years of college. I taught computer
usage in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. I wrote a newspaper
column for 6 years.

I am a milvet, a Nativist, and pro-firearms.

True enough. But I have found that firearms are like potato chips (although less fattening). One just isn’t enough...or two...or...
