Ground zero,# 2 was the metro stop a block from the U.S. embassy.

I hadn't heard this, so did some research using addresses & maps of Brussels & such. The US embassy is actually about 5 blocks from the bombed Maelbeek metro stop on Rue de la Loi. Still close of course, but major EU buildings are much closer.
