Nobody in the FBI would agree to tank this thing. The regime doesn’t want to get its hands dirty. The solution, slow walk this thing until after the election. Alternatively, if Hillary needs some help come October, she can rely on a nice surprise that clears her.

That then assumes a pardon from Obama after the election.

It would start a civil war.

She is looking at a pre-packaged impeachment. The only presidential couple to both be impeached.

Yes, that's slick. And come January 20th, she gets handcuffed.

Yeah, a presidential pardon in October would get her off the hook as far as criminal charges, but it would also torpedo any hopes she has for the election. Realistically, there wouldn't be time to pick and groom a replacement for Hillary and the Democrats would basically have to forfeit the election.

Or, I may be wrong on that, they could pick Biden to run. Not that he'd win, but they could use him as their stand-in and they would nominate him, so he could tell his great grand kids how he almost was president. Kinda like a political version of a "Lifetime Achievement" award. Just so it doesn't look like they just threw in the towel

However, a presidential pardon in June or July would give the Democrats 4 or 5 months to recover from the Hillary scandal. If they could come up with the right candidate, they could still have enough time to negate the damage that an indictment or a presidential pardon creates.

If she's indicted before that, say around April or May, they can pick their "Plan B" candidate, blame Hillary's legal problems on a Republican conspiracy and maybe still win a few states. Hillary's e-mail problem is not going to go away, it's like a giant zit festering on her forehead the night before he prom. It's only going to get uglier until it pops.

And after the election is over, unless a Democrat wins the election, she's probably going to be indicted and in for the fight of her life in 2017 and beyond.

Years ago I was working with some LE folks on a potential criminal case.

We gathered all the evidence and everyone involved agreed it was a very strong (if not airtight) case.

When the political types got a hold of it they talked it down to a civil case and negotiated a settlement with the perps. There was no media coverage and that was the end of it.

Expect the same with the Hillary emails—wish it wasn’t so but that is what I think will happen.

P.S. There were rumors of suitcases of money ending up in DC as a secret part of the settlement—but they were just rumors, no hard evidence.
