Oh, goody.

Let's watch all of the "polls don't mean anything, Trump will slaughter Hillary" Trump supporters slobber all over this poll for a while.

50% of Republicans chose Donald Trump while 37% chose Mitt Romney, and 13% indicated they were unsure

Dovetails nicely with the Trump/Cruz matchup since, effectively, Cruz is now Romney regurgitated for a third try, so to speak.

Not gonna question the poll. But my loyalty to God and Country comes waaaay before loyalty to a political party. If in fact this is now the party of Donald Trump, then I am finished with the Republican Party.

Trump has a leftist record on many issues, and yet, he’s treated as some kind of conservative hero, just for campaigning as a “100% conservative”! Strange!

Trump clearly won with males 56/33%. With females, his margin was closer 44/42%. He also carried retired Republicans 59/32%, and won in every age group from 18-65+, including among parents 53/36%.

Trump lost among those Republicans who are liberal 29/46%, but carried moderates and conservatives. He also carried Republicans with college degrees by 48/41% and those with no college degrees by 52/34%...

It’s clear to us from these margins that Romney, who might have more support than any other candidate, does not have the support needed to unify the Republican Party.

The choices are between Romney and Trump?

Now there’s a choice. Sheesh.

If in general most Republicans think this removing Romney from the picture, then the conservative cause is truly dead.

Between Romney and Trump?

That’s like trying to pick up a turd by the clean end.

One of the guys is a pro-government run health care, pro abortion, used to be democrat, extremely wealthy businessman, who is also pro gay agenda.....

And the other is Mitt Romney.

I think polling Trump vs. Romney is quite logical.

They polled only Republicans, so if more Republicans would vote for Trump than did for Romney, and we know that Trump is attracting more indies and dims, then Trump should have more total votes than Romney did.

I wish they had done the same thing and polled Democrats about Hillary vs. Obama, that would be interesting as well. I doubt more Dims would choose Hillary over Zero, which means Hillary will get fewer votes than Zero did. I can’t believe as many Republicans will vote for Hillary as Dims will vote for Trump.

Trump=better than Romney & Hillary=worse than Zero, means Republicans win the general.

That would contradict the Hillary vs. Trump direct matchup polls.
