The state’s domestic violence law defines “household members” as a spouse, former spouse, people with a child in common, or specifically men and women who are or have lived together — but not unmarried same-sex couples. …

Only lawyers are going to profit from all the gay pandering and PC crap. This was predicted by many.

If you talk to cops off the record, they will tell you that a disproportionate number of domestic violence calls are from homosexual couples. These people are unstable.

A separate issue I’ve read about:
* lesbians are proportionally far more likely to abuse partners than men
* if one goes to the women’s shelter, the other isn’t barred because they instinctively bar only men

And SC has no other law which would have generated a restraining order? I find that hard to believe. Gaystapo in action.

So I guess the problem is whether or not there is a men’s shelter, and how easily if a woman was getting beaten by another woman if her abuser could get into the shelter easily.
