I've never believed for a second that what super PACs do is not cleared with the campaigns. A wrong step by a PAC can cause a lot of rrouble for a campaign and no campaign is going to allow that.

A PAC rep and a campaign rep could agree on TV ads after a two minute meeting in an airport corridor. Incredibly easy to coordinate with very little contact.
