Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% introduced legislative proposals that would have radically expanded Muslim migration into the United States, when Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% was pushing to open Americas borders in 2013, the Washington Examiners Paul Bedard noted in a new exposé.
Plans pushed by GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz under the immigration reform debate in 2013 that would have jumped the number of immigrants, including those from Muslim nations, were raised by the Trump campaign Tuesday, Bedard wrote on Tuesday. Under the Cruz plan, yearly legal immigration would have gone from 740,000 to 1,675,000. He said [subsequently] his idea was to actually help kill the bill not boost the numbers.

Poison pill offering to defeat Rubio’s Gang of 8.
Asked, answered, over and over and over again.....
But that won’t stop folks.
Enjoy.
The Canadian Cruz Line was for immigration until he met the forces of a true American, Donald Trump whom the American citizenry at large is in agreement on how to handle this immigration gone stark raving mad syndrome the politically elite have fostered.
the last thing America needs is more Muslims
in fact , how about if we round up all those that have come in the last 25 years and send them home ?
The U.S. Constitution needs to be amended to reflect that Islam is defined as a cult and cults are not subject to the same protections as religions , under the 1st Amendment
Must be another ‘Mistake’, or another ‘Poison Pill’.
Apparently everything Cruz has done int he Senate was a poison pill. /s
I am curious about one thing though, why do you believe a proven liar like Ted Cruz when he spouts this line but you do not believe Rubio when he says the Gang of 8 bill was never meant to pass and he just wanted to start the immigration conversation?
Considering the way Cruz used Rubio in the debate tag-team against Trump, then kicked Rubio to the curb when he got in the Bushes, I’d rather work with Rubio than Cruz. He’s imperfect, but perhaps with more potential than those who are part of the dirty dealings to steal the nomination from Trump.
Geez, the Trump chumps post this crap EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Cruz is slimy. His behavior reminds me of Eddy Haskell. He goads people into stuff and than plays like he had nothing to do with it.
Cruz’s biggest lie was a lie by omission—not reveling that he was BORN IN CANADA AND NOT ELEGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT! That is a whopper, so Lying Ted seems to know quite a few ways to lie. This is not a good man, he is a lying fraud. As painful as it is to hear this it is better to face it now than to wait till it is too late. We know very little about Ted Cruz except for his official biography. What else is he hiding?
I am pretty angry that he failed to disclose that fact when he ran for Senate. I would not have voted for him if I knew he was still a NBC Canadian in 2012.
