“If it tames liberal academia, we’ll have something to show for it.”

Absolutely! Along with a moratorium on Muslim immigration, we should put a moratorium on all colleges and universities for at least 5 years. They are little more than marxist indoctrination centers where the First Amendment does not exist!

If nothing else it will get the Yalies to expound on the importance of private property and the evil of taxation. Unfortunately they will suffer no cognitive dissonance when going on to agree with Bernie Sanders that the rich should be taxed and then eaten.

CT used to be a wonderful place, when I was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s. Since then, they’ve chased away almost all manufacturing and other large employers. Are they seriously trying to find a way to drive away Yale? And what about all of the small colleges (like my Alma Mater) which would suffer from this idiocy?

It costs approximately $68,000 a year to go to Yale. I know a young man who graduated 5th in his HS class & was the quarterback on the football team. He applied to Yale & was rejected. A minority girl in his class was ranked lower & was accepted at Yale. He ended up being accepted at the University of Notre Dame & loves it.

Much of that money was given so that students could have scholarships.

So?....With endowments in the billions why are students handed any tuition bill at all? The interest on those billions should be more than enough to pay their tuitions. Use the interest on the billions for the purpose it was intended.
