GOP frontrunner Donald Trump said he didn’t see any threats to his presidential campaign and that those who are publicly criticizing him on television actually want to meet with him.
“People that are watching, that are against me, aren’t really against me, because they’re calling me,” Trump told the media during a press conference at the Old Post Office, which is being renovated into Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Monday afternoon.
“I’ve seen people on television, [saying], ‘We have to stop Donald Trump,” and they were on the phone with me an hour and a half before, they want to set up a meeting,” he added.
“It’s just politicians,” he added. “They want to make a deal.”
“People really do want to be part of” the campaign, the billionaire stressed. “They have to embrace what’s happening.”
He also downplayed threats to his campaign. “I don’t see threats. I see people who are trying to go against me … I think they’re very misguided,” he said.
“I think the people that go against me should embrace me, and I’d embrace them real easily. They should embrace me, because I’ve brought millions [of voters]” into the GOP primaries, he said.
“I haven’t started on Hillary yet,” Trump added when talking with the press about people doubting his chance against Hillary Clinton in the general election. “When they start seeing how many Democrats are going to come over, when they start seeing the independents…when they see the people that have never voted before … I think we’re going to have a tremendous landslide.”

Yeah all I have to do is abandon all my life long held beliefs in the sovereignty of the individual, limited govt and rule of law and embrace a low life who believes personally denigrating opponents is taking the high road. It is not going to happen.
The Washington establishment is full of two faced liars. They say one thing in public and one thing in private.
They say trump is a racist. They say Trump is not conservative. They say they want a brokered convention.
Then behind the scenes they are calling Trump and telling him how much they like him and how much they support him.
Trump is the patriot trying to protect America. The establishment types are slime balls who would sell out our country.

Enforcing immigration laws
Reforming legal immigration
Ending Sanctuary cities
Preventing the uninterrupted flow of narcotics form Mexico.
Stop trying to appease the corrupt Narco criminal government in Mexico
Stop sending millions of dollars of foreign aid to Mexico with no request for cooperation
Stop appeasing anti-American groups like LaRaza
Stop allowing Mexican illegals to get millions in fake EIC tax credits
Stop making manufacturing and business in general uncompetitive in the U.S.
Stop encouraging companies to move jobs and operations overseas
Stop providing welfare and taxpayer handouts to people here illegally
Don't increase the national debt to over $20 trillion or over $30 trillion
Strengthen national defense
Support law enforcement
Clean up government corruption and reduce the size of governmet
Better treatment for veterans in VA hospitals
Don't spent millions of taxpayer money bring hundreds of thousands of unvetted Muslims into the U.S. most of whom will go on welfare
Strongly fight terrorists and interragate them

He will pontificate and blame Trump’s “hurtful” rhetoric, and then go on saying he’s beaten Trump not once, not twice, but 9 times, blah blah blah.
Then he’ll probably snack on a booger.

4 out of 5 people here on Free Republic would rather go with someone who agrees with us on 90% of the issues and can actually win in the general election. 1 out of 5 people would rather go with someone who has a history of hard drinking and lying about everything under the sun but who says he agrees with everything we do. The person who says he believes in everything we do is now backed by Lindsay Graham, Mitt Romney and the rest of the GOPe. There are many words that describe the 1 out of 5, the most charitable is “gullible”.
Cruz gave another stump speech.
