Cruz swipes Trump in AIPAC speech
The Washington Examiner ^ | 3/21/2016 | GABBY MORRONGIELLO

Ted Cruz on Monday mocked Donald Trump's grasp of history and promised not to be neutral in a negotiation between Israel and Palestinians, something Trump has said he would do if elected president.

At his speech before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Cruz started by highlighting a mistake Trump made during his own speech just minutes earlier.

"Perhaps to the surprise of the previous speaker, Palestine has not existed since 1948," Cruz said, drawing mixed laughter and applause from the crowd.

Because you have to have something to be arrogant about and Cruz has nothing. Trump has everything including an IQ superior to Cruz’s.

"Its not arrogance if you actually are smarter than the other candidates. "

Cruz has been studying history his entire life. Trump has been busy making it and building it.

"Its kind of like its not bragging if its true.:

It's kind of like it's not arrogance if you've actually built what you're proud of.

You resent his success in the real world where you're held accountable, you're more comfortable diddling in your head with facts and thoughts and philosophies and can easily make fun of others for not collecting as many. Therefore, you're no match for the democrats and never will be until you connect with physical reality as your basis for 'smart.'

You have to understand more than the past to lead a country, you have to understand the present. The present does not occur in your mind and Cruz can't study it.

Haven't you figured out why Trump is winning? You must not be very smart. Hint: it's not because the bulk of his supporters aren't as smart as you.

Beck ain’t no soothsayer. Just a nut bag who’s finally gone totally cuckoo. Cruz is a fool to stick with this guy...or just an opportunist who will take anyone that may get him a vote. He just doesn’t see that Beck is like a vote-proof vest.

The ignorance of trump needs to be exposed.

I get most of my info from here, the Cruz campaign, and outside sources. I have watched all the debates.

Yes Law School, unlike most people I want to fix things, and trying to get an education to know what I am doing

Possibly looking into going into DC, but I intend to go in to try and change the culture.

Limit Salaries, Limit the time congress is in session, change how they appropriate money back to the way it was done, pay off the debt, actually cut spending not just limit the growth.

>>Ted Cruz on Monday mocked Donald Trump’s grasp of history and promised not to be neutral in a negotiation between Israel and Palestinians, something Trump has said he would do if elected president.

Trump said no such thing in his speech.<<

Trump DID mention in one or two of his rallys that he intended to be neutral in negotiations between Israel and the Pali’s. He also said in those rallys that he was Pro Israel.

Did he double talk when you compare what he said previously with what he said tonight? NO. What he did was ...typical Trump...added more detail. Now we can know why he would be neutral at a negotiation table.

He said tonight that in order for any peace talk to work, it must come from the folks involved. It must be between them. It can’t be forced on them by others who have different interests, or else it won’t work.

NOW we can see why a neutral stance would be a wise stance. If for example, Israel and Pali worked out a deal between them, WE can’t take a side in that. We’d HAVE to be neutral because this would be THEIR agreement.

If we were to assist in formulating an agreement between the two, we have to be neutral because this is THEIR agreement. How can you go to the table if one of the parties feels like they aren’t going to get a fair shake?

That was kind of a bombshell he dropped with regard to the new baby being Jewish...I had a really good belly laugh when I heard that...a good natured one.

Cruz reminds me of a family member of mine...arrogant little snot who refuses to learn anything except how to find one more thing to pat himself on the back for and how to put someone else down. Thinks he’s better than anybody at everything. Been like that since a kid.

I only started watching a few Trumps speeches because I wanted to hear that “hateful and violent rhetoric” for myself.

Things sure look and sound a whole lot different than what the media and Trump haters are telling everybody.

“Cruz should get a tent, and he and Beck could have revivals and medicine shows. I think that is what they are suited for, not political office, and certainly not president.”

Those two are pure Americana. I’m thinking specifically of the Duke and the Dauphin.

Which reminds me to change my tagline again.

Republicans and conservatives? How are conservatives able to vote in a closed primary?

Thanks for the mention. I just can’t watch Cruz. The guy’s voice, mannerisms, his logic trail, it grates me something fierce.

I know his followers like every bit of this, but I can’t help it.

Stupid is as stupid does. Trump is a winner who surrounds himself with smart people. Cruz is a loser who surrounds himself with freaks and jerks. Trump has accomplished so much more in life than Cruz, has built more and done more than Cruz, and has shown Cruz up at every turn.
But go ahead and underestimate Trump. It’s worked so well for the GOPe.

well for the most part conservatives are registered republicans because they are the party which best serves the goals that are trying to be achieved.
