As a Southerner and former Mississippian, I can tell you that it is fairly common for people to move in and insist on telling you “how things are done up north”. My question is always” “If it was so great, why did you move? We got along great for lo these many years WITHOUT YOU.”
We had a town board chairman tell a city dweller that was complaining about snow on the roads.
“Well you do live in the country now”
The look on her face was priceless.
