Once the Oligarchy is above the law, the Republic is already dead.
To paraphrase Ernest Hemingway: How did you lose your Republic? Two ways, gradually and then suddenly. The Romans experienced this when their Republic was extinguished by Empire.
The erosion of the Republic was gradual: slowly but surely, the lower classes' representation in governance was curtailed; the Oligarchy of the wealthy and powerful cemented their privileges at the expense of the many; Oligarchs rose above the laws that were supposed to apply to all, and executive power was consolidated in top administrators and the wealthy at the expense of the Senate.
When Caesar crossed the Rubicon with his army to seize control of Rome, the Roman Republic ceased to exist. Gradually and then suddenly: this is how Republics become Empires.
We find ourselves in a parallel moment in history: the American Republic has been hollowed into a shell that is maintained for PR purposes. Beneath the propaganda, the Establishment runs the nation for its own benefit. The people are ignored, because they are powerless in this hollow shell of democracy: their only role is to provide bodies, talent and blood for the Imperial armed forces, pay taxes if they have any money, and be content with their food stamps if they don't.

This thing is going to backfire big time. She will not get indicted and the media will all say, see I told you it was no big deal.
They are already above the law.
They are exempt from ObamaCare, they are exempt from insider trading laws.
Being in the US Congress means you can be a crook.
I don’t see it happening. She’s just like Teflon Willie...nothing sticks to her. I have no doubt that she’s responsible for the deaths of Ron Brown and Vince Foster; their deaths just before they were to testify in the Whitewater scandal is just too convenient.
She is above the law, and thus the Republic is dead, and thus the popularity of Trump.
1. Hillary won’t be indicted.
2. And yes, the rule of law — especially as applies to the Clintons — is most certainly dead.
The rule of law is already dead.
If there was rule of law, they wouldn’t be worrying about the stupid server, they’d be looking at the Clinton Foundation. How do you become a billionaire in public office.
Hahahaha....
There’s actually someone around who believes the rule of law and the republic are still alive.
The fact that the greatest crime couple in the history of the republic is not in prison tells you what we’ve been reduced to: expendable subjects of a UIPARTY criminal enterprise forced to fund these evildoers.
Hillary will be indicted when monkeys fly out of Obama’s butt.
The rule of law and the republic are dead. All hale Our Glorious Leader.
What interests me is why FBI is even investigating the server.
They have stone-walled everything else since Obama has been in office. They were caught running guns to the Mexican Cartel, for crying out loud, and nothing.
So I take this as a shot across the bow, while some kind of negotiations are going on in the background. They’ll slow-walk this until the election and after that, nothing.
Anyone remember the Clinton years? Open espionage with the Chinese was bottled up in the Justice Department; meanwhile Clinton’s Justice Department kept everyone entertained with the sexual scandals while the big stuff, the real stuff, continued on right in plain view and no one cared or noticed.
Illegal Aliens <> Dreamer Immigrants
The Rule Of Law has been dead for 20+ Years.
No! No!
Hillary is unstoppable!
She is fearless!
She is a juggernaut!
She is a cowardly little snot who gets her way by bullying and bribing people.
While Americans were fighting for their lives in Benghazi, the person responsible for their lives, the fearless juggernaut Hillary Clinton, ran to her bedroom and hid under her bed.
Yeah.....she’s a juggernaut.
She won’t be indicted.
“She is above the law, and thus the Republic is dead, and thus the popularity of Trump.”
I personally look for Obama to exonerate/and or pardon Hillary from any and all FUTURE possible indictments by the next president, just in case Hillary doesn’t win. Anyway why not, hubby Billy boy got away with perjury. If that had been me or any member of my family, the key would have been thrown away. Like I wrote to Senator Kay Baily-Hutchinson, Bill Clinton was above the law, and she and her fellow senators put Bill Clinton above the law when they took the easy way out and refused to find Clinton guilty in his impeachment trial in the U. S. Senate. Needless to say, Senator Hutchinson never contacted me in the future for any money, which was fine with me.
What astounds me is that the majority of the American public continues to believe that corruption is something that exists only in Mexico and other “developing” (oxymoron that) nations.
Amen....we are hanging by a thread.
If she even makes it to election day. I am really surprised that both the Clintons are still walking above ground instead of sitting with the devil at his fireside.
