Because saying Muslims anywhere commit genocide goes against the unassailable narrative that Islam is a religion of peace. Of course, Obama has declared that ISIS isn’t Muslim, so that problem is solved.

Finally admitting that genocide has been taking place, does not imply that the current administration will take appropriate action. They are temporarily placating those concerned with genocide of Christians.
Obama and the godless Democrats do not like Christians because Christians are against abortion and same sex marriage. I would not expect any significant action by this corrupt administration. I hope that I am wrong in this assessment.
Agree with everything you said, but I still say he’s a muslim. Maybe not a kneel-towards-Mecca-several-times-a-day muslim, but ideologically and emotionally, absolutely a muslim.
Where? When? I’m familiar with his pronouncements about distributing wealth, the evils of capitalism, the need for open borders, how we must take in the “migrants” and his prayers for the martyrs...but nothing about genocide and the systematic targeting and killing of Christians in the Middle East.
