Two items for FReerpers:

As Bill Paxton would say (Aliens), “Yet, but it’s a dry ice”.
The USSN Sargo might have been the first US sub to go under the ice and surface at the North Pole. Somewhere in the basement, in a First Day Cover book, is a cacheted envelope that was stamped by the Sargo’s postal office to honor that voyage. I think it was about 1958 or 59.
Yes, environmental wackos, the Arctic still has ice, thank you.
