And we’re still allied with Turkey? Wow.

You need to keep up with this stuff as Russia has said it might nuke Turkey after the US and Turkey vectored two Turkish F-16s to shoot down a Russian SU-24 bomber. That incident caused the Russians to install an S-400 system at Latackia the sight of which caused the US to immediately stop any sorties within its range since the US has no known counter.

Since Turkey is a NATO member: if Russia attacks Turkey, then the US (NATO) is obliged to defend thereby it starting WW III. However, if Turkey eggs Russia on - which they are trying hard to do - then any conflict arising NATO has said Turkey is on its own.

Anyone in the US who calls for a ‘no-fly zone’ in that area is basically calling for the start of WW III as we would have to take out the Russian AF to keep the handful of Syrian AF planes on the ground. That process would mean large losses of USAF planes including F-22s. Not something one should contemplate.

None of that mitigates Turkey’s continued support of Hamas and ISIS and it’s near genocidal tactics against the Kurds.
