Obama leans or is Shia, probably due to his upbringing in upper class Indonesia, where many are Shia.
He bombs Sunni ISIS but coddles Shia Hezbollah and Hamas and gets testy when Israel defends itself against their attacks.

NoRooz is actually a National holiday, not a religious one.
ALL Iranians (and many non-Iranians), regardless of their religion celebrate it. It is about Spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also the basis for the Iranian National calendar (which is solar, not lunar like Arabic/Islamic one) - their official new year calendar starts after the spring equinox in March.
