I tip very well, if the service is at least average. I don’t put myself in a tipping situation very often. In OH there’s no tip on take out. If you eat in the tip is 8%. It’s a crazy situation when folks are getting steak dinners to go because tip + tax saved is over 25%!
I was a server over 20 years ago. The standard wasn’t 8% then either. Not sure where that number came from.
